“Floating cities need transport, so you get to have blimps shuttling back and forth,” Buckell said in an interview. “And presumably these cities would need minerals and metals for their industry, so I started realizing that the people would have to be lowered to the surface in giant pressure suits and that it would be a very dangerous job.”
