Tired of the glittering balls and moonlight garden parties of most Regency romances? Lord Matthew Sheene and Mrs. Grace Paget find one another in a most unusual situation. Stuck in Somerset, England, both are prisoners to a greedy relative in Lord Sheene’s family tree. Lord Sheene has been locked away for eleven years learning to cope with his “madness”. Grace, mistaken as a dockside doxy, is kidnapped to entertain Lord Sheene during his long hours alone. These two must learn to trust, listen, and love with few outside characters providing common distractions. Anna Campbell does a wonderful job of presenting a story that focuses heavily on character development, while allowing the plot to move at a believable pace.
